What was your very first job?
Submitted by Laurel.
The first "job", however, was my on-the-job training for the now-gone Ecommsite Solutions. Well, it was also my first actual job, too. It was Jae (yet again) who I went to for a possible place to go to for OJT, and even though when I graduated, he'd moved on, the managing director (Jan) had apparently liked my work and contacted me when I graduated. Websites were (and still is) my passion, so I went.
...I haven't written here or visited in absolutely ages. I don't know what to do with this account. What do I do with this account? *ponders!*
I added one of my favorite series in my library here in Vox--the Prydain Chronicles. Eee, love love. I've also been working on the fanlisting for it, and I scanned my (sadly very old) book covers for it as well. It's sadly unknown, but I had fun doing this. Especially since the fanlisting for Taran and Eilonwy has long been due a revamp. :p
Sigh, reading it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. ♥ The above editions aren't ones I have, but omg they are so shiny! (Well, the cover for the High King is, for some reason, not the one in line with the rest of the series, although I did see it on Amazon already. *sporks Amazon*)
And I feel somewhat frustrated with Vox because I am such a control freak when it comes to posts and stuff, and I can't do everything I want to do on the post. :p Oh well, I guess you have to give up some sort of control for this sort of prettiness, eh?
Play any instrument or speak any language, which do you choose?
Question submitted by cruftbox.vox.com.
I think I'd go for "speak any language". I'm "closer" to words than I am with music, and my liking a song is actually around 60% because of its lyrics, so this question wasn't very difficult for me to figure out! So the ability to speak any language would obviously be really great. :D
Now, if the question is actually come up with one of each... I'd say the violin or the piano for the instrument, and as for the language... hmm, this is tough! French. Or Japanese. :D Or like what Cherrie said--Elvish! That would be so nifty. Yep.
Everyone's doing it, so I will too. Hello, I am Angela. I'm 23 as of this writing, and I live in the Philippines, and if you know me from somewhere before, it will probably be from any one of the following: seasonalplume.net, indisguise.org, aking-mahal.net, angelamaria.livejournal.com... hmm, the list is too long, but yeah. Angewa wubs wub, the web, and writing. That is a lot of W's in one short sentence.
I tend to be very interested/obsessed with various things at various points in time, and in varying degrees, but from the start, I have always loved reading and writing (my first story, which I wrote when I was seven, was a trip my Barbies took to the mountains and included dungeons, helicopters, and fainting into Ken's arms); I have always loved web design (my first website was a ghastly velvety dark purple teenybopper page with cyan text in Courier--because it looked like typerwriter font, omg--and named "the faerieangel's haven", published in November 1998); I have always loved web development (I took up computer science and majored in software technology, making sure I get both web development electives, and I have always been making odds and ends ever since: need proof?); and I have always been in love with Love. ("Love is a many splendored thing--love lifts us up where we belong--all you need is LOVE!")
I am a bit of a scatterbrain and a drama queen, as when I am sad I am OMGSAD, but when I am happy, I am definitely OMGHAPPY. I am not extra speshul, I am not extraordinary, but I am me and for what it's worth, I like myself fine, except for the fact that I trip all too often and have a tendency to fall down stairs at least thrice a year.
Who is your favorite Muppet? Why?
QotD submitted by knitwitology.vox.com.
Definitely Ernie. I love how happy he is, and I think I act in rather the same way as he does when he's happy. I love a lot of other Muppets, of course, but somehow when it's a "favorite" Muppet that's the topic, Ernie is always the one that comes to mind, even after there are so many other Muppets I've come to love over the years. I suppose it's because Ernie is very much a part of my childhood, and is the earliest Muppet I've liked.
I also like Kermit and Miss Piggy! And I am very partial to the Mana Mana Muppets:
Yeah, the entry started with Ernie but I ended up posting a video of the Mana Mana Muppets. Sad.
Squee, Vox! I'm liking the looks of this so far. I'm very interested in the books thing. I can have my book log here! Or some such thing. I don't know yet. Eee! Damn you Vox, you are too distracting.
(I don't think I will leave eljay, but this is shiny!)
